Press Release

Anilox roll manufacturer Stork Cellramic, a division of Stork Materials Technology, grows anilox sales more than 27% in the 2004 calendar year.

Milwaukee, WI, - January 10, 2005 – Stork Cellramic announces yet another year of tremendous growth in their anilox manufacturing and reconditioning business. Although 2003 was a great year for Stork, 2004 turned out to be even better.

Narrow Web Sales Manager, David Lanska said, “This growth is, in part, due to the tremendous success of our HQP Fiber Optic laser engraving technology. This technology, developed and pioneered by Stork over three years ago, offers our customers the ultimate in durability and performance. One of the key advances this technology offers is the fact that the anilox cells produced by our HQP Fiber Optic lasers have extremely smooth cell inner linings to maximize ink release and minimize plugging. High line screens with high volumes are now a common specification from our valued customers. The ability to reduce dot gain while maintaining density has been a powerful draw and we expect the trend to continue. From low line screens to ultra high line screens, the HQP Fiber Optic has been a great success, both for us, and for our customers”.

Although the newer technology has been a driving force for Stork’s growth, CO2 and YAG laser technology are still offered for special applications or requirements.

Another reason for growth noted by General Manager Frank van den Berge “is due to our quality commitment to our customers. Unlike any other anilox manufacturer, Stork boasts a two-year limited warranty. At Stork, we produce quality anilox rolls and our customers demand that we stand behind that statement.” Frank also remarked on the popularity of Stork’s free anilox pick up and delivery (US & Canada only) program as another service that has attracted substantial attention in the industry.

“Ultimately,” says Mat Jones, Sales & Marketing Manager, “Our no-frills philosophy of staying ahead of technology, producing quality products, charging a fair price, and delivering on time is the reason we believe our business continues to grow at such an impressive rate”.
